Maybelline Dream Touch Blush

Maybelline Dream Touch Blush - £6.49

I'm not really one to smother my face in make up on a daily basis. Here's a fun fact: during the last few months of my degree, I ventured to the library everyday completely make up free. Oh yeah. To be fair, I had a few more important things to be worrying about at the time, such as the impending 10,000 word dissertation but the less said about that, the better. Even now I don't like to wear too much make up unless I have to, so when I do, I like to keep things nice and natural looking. In my opinion, a light, dewy base is imperative for natural-looking make up - my latest addition to which is this perfectly pretty little blusher. The Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in 06 is a lovely mousse consistency in a beautiful shimmery pink/coral shade. I usually dot it along my cheeks then blend it in using the MAC 109. It creates a beautiful warm glow perfect for a natural looking base and because it's a mousse, you have control of the intensity of the colour and the shimmer depending on how much you blend it.

Overall, it's a nice little edition to my make up bag and at only £6.49, you can't really go wrong. What are your favourite products for a natural looking base?

  1. this is such a lovely colour! I'd love to try these Maybelline blushes but I haven't seen them anywhere in Spain - definitely adding them to my (never-ending) list of things to try when I'm home again :) I used to use a MaxFactor miracle touch (I see a pattern in names here...) for a more natural look a while back, I really need to dig that back out/buy another as I really loved it! x

  2. Such a gorgeous colour! I've always wanted to try this but if anything, the texture kind of puts me in off! I may do what you have suggested though and mix it with another product so its not as harsh on my skin!

I have a new post up about my Westfield Haul. Any comments on it would be appreciated!

  3. I've never ventured into the world of mousse blush as I've always thought they look a bit heavier than powders, but that one looks gorgeous and such a lovely colour! I'll definitely be picking one up myself!x
