The Longest Dress in the World (?)

Top: Ubran Outfitters
Dress: H&M
Necklace: Topshop
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Following the recent hot weather earlier this week (Surrey reached the dizzying heights of...20 degrees), I had already decided to wear a maxi dress today regardless of the weather. Despite the startlingly grey clouds, it was surprisingly warm so I decided to go with it. Naturally, five minutes after removing myself from my car the skies opened and a downpour descended on me. It was ok though, because I'd brought my jacket!

Oh yeah, but I'd left it on the back seat of my car. And my umbrella turned inside out. Several times. A trip to Topshop made it all better though (particularly the half price jewellery sale).

This is literally The Longest Dress in the World; I'm 5'10 with no shoes on, and it swamps me! These flatforms are 2-3 inches which makes me about 6 ft, and it still touches the ground! I love it though because maxi dresses that don't swing around my ankles are hard to find. I bought a beautiful leopard print one in H&M last summer even though it was too short. I never wore it. Luckily my mum is an inch or so shorter than me, so I gave it to her and she gave me this one in return. Happy days!

I stupidly left my tripod at uni when I packed all my things up to move home. So a little rearranging of the conservatory furniture made for an excellent camera stand ;) I just hope my mum doesn't see this - the character of Monica Geller from Friends was literally based on my mum! (And if you're one of those weird people that doesn't like Friends: 1) Monica was totally OCD about having things in the right place 2) you're missing out) x

PS. On second thoughts, longest dress IN THE WORLD might be a slight exaggeration. But it is pretty long.
