There was a time when I would not buy makeup that wasn't from the self-selection in Boots. Mainly because I didn't really know much about makeup and I didn't fancy forking out £25 for a foundation simply to experiment with. Cheap and cheerful, that was my makeup bag! However, having gathered my makeup all together (usually strewn accross my room) I've noticed that I have succumbed to a kind of 'makeup snobbery'. I blame the blogs; reading about the 'holy grail' products of other bloggers has definitely influenced me to spend more on makeup than what my mother might approve of. That and of course my best friend Freya is ABSOLUTELY addcited to makeup it's scary (she convinced me to blow £20 on the Touche Éclat on a whim in duty free - although I did need a new concealer and it is AMAZING). Although I do still use my old favourites from NO.7 and Rimmel!
My absolute favourite products here are Real Technique brushes (if you haven't already invested in these then you must!), the MAC Skin Finish Natural which is perfect for setting foundation, and the Touche Éclat.
The one product I won't be repurchasing is the ELF Eyebrow Kit - can anyone PLEASE recommend me a really good product for eyebrows? (You can read about my eyebrow angst here) x
PS. They seem to have discontinued the Benefit Eyeliner I use (how long have I HAD it?!) but I guess this is pretty much the same.
there is always the brow zings eyebrow kit by benefit, I heard that it is really good and is definitely something I want to purchase in the future!

Sleek do a nice eyebrow kit as do Benefit. Usually if I'm feeling lazy I just use a Mac powder eyeshadow on my brows; they have so many colours I was able to find one which matched my eyebrows perfectly and I can then use it as an eyeshadow too. xx
ReplyDeleteOoooh that's a good idea! I really want to try the Benefit one too, but it's quite expensive!! Might have a look at the Sleek one x
Deleteyou just have the perfect make up bag! :) i want to try benefit's eyebrows too as everyone above has said! x

I'm slowly becoming a bit of a make up snob too - especially considering I started blogging in order to promote cosmetics on a tight budget! If you're looking for a cheap eyebrow kit though MUA have recently bought one out (I did a review on my blog somewhere if you're interested!) My eyebrows are an absolute nightmare to control but for £3.50 I'm really impressed with it :) xx
ReplyDeleteOooh I'll definitely check your post out! I didn't really get on with the ELF one, but really don't want to spend a lot of money. Thanks! x
DeleteWow! I love your mascaras! Thanks for sharing:)

I love the Real Techniques brushes! Shame about the elf eyebrow kit. The Benefit one is supposed to be really good, but quite pricey x
ReplyDeleteYeah I really want to try the Benefit one, just the price that's putting me off! x
